勝間が選んだ議題は「ネットの匿名性」「若者の起業」など。しかし、そのことごとくが西村にかわされる結果に終わった。たとえば、若者が起業しない社会は良くないと持論を展開する勝間に西村は、どうして若者が起業しないのが良くないのか、どうして金のある年輩者ではなく、金のない若者が起業しなくてはいけないのかと返すという具合だ。
自分の狙い通りに議論が展開しないことに業を煮やした勝間は、次第に我を忘れたように持論のゴリ押しを始める。西村の、あくまでのらりくらりとした態度も、勝間の負けず嫌いを煽ったに違いない。相手が自分の話を解しない人物だと知り、ついに勝間が発した言葉は「だめだこれ」だった。
